datasetViewer.description

It is a shape of the severity classifications involved in the fire scar. The shapefile corresponds to the vectorial version of the severity raster, and contains different a polygons that define the shape of each severity value. The attribute table has the following columns, where unless stated, are valid for all polygons: - FireID: identification number of the fire. - Region: administrative region were the fire is located, defined by CONAF. - Season: season to which the fire belongs depending on its ignition date. The season is defined from July of the previous year to June of the same year. For example, season 2016: July 2015 to June 2016. - FireName: name of the fire assigned by CONAF. - IgnDate: start date of the fire ignition according to CONAF record. - CtrlDate: control date of the fire according to CONAF record. - IgnLat [°]: latitude in degrees of the ignition point, where the fire started according to CONAF record. - IgnLon [°]: longitude in degrees of the ignition point, where the fire started according to CONAF record. - Severity: severity class to which the polygon belongs, were 0 = unchanged, 1 = low, 2 = moderate and 3 = high. - TotalArea: total area of the fire scar in square meters. - AreaUnchS: total scar area under 'unchanged' severity category, in square meters. - AreaLowS: total scar area under 'low' severity category, in square meters. - AreaModS: total scar area under 'moderate' severity category, in square meters. - AreaHighS: total scar area under 'high' severity category, in square meters. - AreaCONAF: total burned hectares recorded by CONAF.
