The Meteorological Directorate of Chile (DMC), dependent on the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, is the body responsible for meteorological tasks in the country, whose purpose is to satisfy the information and weather forecasting needs of all national activities. Since 1941, a total of mora than 900 stations have been registered, of which most are still operational to date. Below are the meteorological variables measured by the network, with a link to the related data set on the Data Platform to see the detail. - Water falls every 6 hours - Water falls every 24 hours - Relative humidity - Atmospheric pressure at station level - Atmospheric pressure at sea level - Standard atmospheric pressure OACI - Dew point - Air temperature - Wind velocity at 2 m above ground - Wind velocity at 10 m above ground Information on the status of the network and data capture is updated monthly.
